Welcome to the Cultural Institutions blog! We are a subcommittee of the 2010 Indiana Complete Count Committee.  Our subcommittee partners represent cultural organizations in Indiana who promote understanding of and participation in the 2010 US Census.

Our partners recognize that Census data directly affects how more than $200 billion per year in federal and state funding is allocated to communities.  Census data is  also crucial to research, grant writing, and organization planning decisions.  Read  “Why the Census Matters” for more information.

Following Census 2000, $388 million in federal grants was shifted to states with the biggest estimated population increases based on the census. Indiana currently ranks as the 20th “hardest to count” population in the nation.  Help us spread the word about the 2010 Census!  It’s In Our Hands!
