Three ways your library can support the 2010 Census.

August 27, 2009

1. Create a Census display.  Include materials from your library’s collection, whether you are a Public, Academic, Special, or other library.  Feature adults’ books about the Census and other statistics.  Use Children’s and YA books about numbers & counting in multiple languages, if possible.  Find materials about researching family history using the Census.  Enhance your display with current “It’s In Our Hands” Fact Sheets from the Census website.

2. Please mention the 2010 Census in your next program or outreach activity. Census forms will not be sent out until March 2010, but many patrons are already aware of a Census presence in their own neighborhood because of the LUCA Program (Local Update of Census Addresses).

3. Become a partner with our committee!

Whether you are a library employee or a patron, your library should be a place you can go for your 2010 Census information needs.
